Soca On The Seas 2017 promises to be the cruise event of the year! The seas will come alive with the pulsating rhythms of Soca music, the infectious melody of the steelpan, the dynamic beats of the Riddim section, the beautiful costumes of Trinidad & Tobago Carnival, the chic designs of some the top Caribbean Fashion Designers, and the sumptuous Trinidad & Tobago Cuisine!
Soca On The Seas is an annual event that merges the experience of being on a luxury, all inclusive cruise with the energy, fun and creativity of participating in Trinidad & Tobago Carnival, celebrating adventurous travel with Trinidad and Tobago’s arts and culture. It is the first of its kind with its own niche in the tourism sector.

Soca On The Seas 2017 will be held from October 9th to October 13th, and will make its voyage from the Port of Miami, on to Nassau (Bahamas), then to Cococay, (Bahamas

– Royal Caribbean International’s Private Island), before heading to Key West (Florida), and ending at the Port of Miami. This edition will feature a main cultural event, themed “Ganges Meets The Nile” which will bring a tapestry of the creativity and dynamism of Trinidad & Tobago’s East Indian and African heritage. Additionally “The One Love Music Festival” concert will be held in Nassau, Bahamas, which will include Soca artistes, and DJs from across the Caribbean.

Guests can expect an array of themed events and cultural experiences including a breakfast party, beach J’ouvert, celebrity cricket match and concerts featuring some of the Caribbean’s top Fashion Designers, Soca artistes and celebrity DJs from the Caribbean – Trinidad & Tobago to Antigua. Artistes confirmed include Bunji, Fayann Lyons, Blaxx, Olatunji, KI, Neval, Nishard M., David Rudder, Alison Hinds, Terri Lyons, Ricky T, Yankey Boy, Asten Isaac, Cali, Tallpree, Marzville, Angela Hunte and Orlando Octave, including a few surprise artistes.
The top DJs include Red Bull3Style World DJ Champion DJ Puffy, Celebrity Duchess, DJ Adam2MV, Selector Hemo from Japan, DJ Assassin Singh, Miami Dream Team and DJs Sting and Storm from Soca Passion.
HaHaHa Productions, led by comedian
Nikki Crosby, will produce a theatrical presentation, which will include Ro’dey, Cecilia Salazar, Penelope Spencer and Debra Boucaud Mason. The Ronnie & Caro, Lost Tribe & Yuma Carnival bands will feature their Carnival 2018 presentations, while fashion houses Christian Boucaud Designs, Honamic Designs and Marie Francis Designs, will reveal their exquisite fashion collections. In addition, daily Zumba sessions will be hosted by the renowned Zumba instructor Erica Dixon. Media personalities Jason Williams (JW), Hans Des Vignes and Ashleia Baksh will be the hosts for the various events. In addition to these non-stop exciting events, this year’s edition includes the first ever “So You Want To Be A Soca Artist” where contestants must submit a video singing a Soca song to be eligible to enter the competition, which will be held on the final night of Soca On The Seas. A panel of three celebrities will judge the competition and the winner will get an opportunity to perform at the las-lap concert.


Director of Soca On The Seas, Juliana Fermin says that this event is more than just providing a unique vacation experience, hence she is pleased to give back to the young people of the Caribbean through the Soca On The Seas Scholarship Fund (SOSSF). Two thousand US dollars ($2,000.00USD) will be awarded to an eligible student pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music, Art, Fashion or Theatre. Juliana stated that “The creative industry is a dynamic sector that compliments and harnesses the vitality of the Tourism Industry and it is imperative that we support students in this arena who will be part of development.”
